Evaluating Impact of Different Generative Methods on Player Experience

The Study

In this study, you will be playing three levels in the "Infinite Mario" game engine. These levels will come from two different sources: a level taken from the original Super Mario Bros., and two levels generated via AI level generators. We will also ask you questions about your experience with games, and ask you to rank these levels. With your help we hope to determine how different data-driven generation techniques impact attributes of gameplay experience. To take part in the study you will download an application to run on your own laptop or PC, which will take you through the three levels and the questions. Once this is done the application will create a zipped folder of your results, which you'll need to e-mail to mguzdial3@gatech.edu. Your e-mails will be deleted once the study is concluded. We hope you will take part!

Before downloading either of the below applications, please look over this consent form. Downloading either application indicates you are 18 years are older, and have read and agreed to this form.
